The Comforter | LUSH

I know that the comforter is nothing new & has circled the beauty blogosphere plenty of times. BUTTT, I used it for the first time the other day & it was soo lush (literally!) I couldn't not feature it. 

So, what is the comforter? It's a bubble bar from Lush that retails at £4.25. It's used as a replacement to bubble bath. No ordinary bubble bath is this! When you crumble the bar under a warm running tap it completely transforms your bath into a pink fluffy dream! It creates a mass of bubbles, turns your bath water a gorgeous pink shade &, on top of that, smells deliciously like blackberries. 

Other bonuses are that the pink-ness of the water doesn't stain your tub & is easily cleaned. As a not-so-domestic girl this was one of my worries! The comforter, unlike some of LUSH's other bath products (for example Ceridwens Cauldron) can be used multiple times. So it doesn't feel like your paying a million pounds for just one bath... slight exaggeration. I broke mine into quarters, so I can have 4 amazing pink fluffy baths :)

How amazing does that look?! Anybody who thinks that that doesn't look incredibly inviting needs their head looking at ;)

Ahh, I just love it. Definitely recommend this product. I know I'll be repurchasing :D

LUSH | Ceridwens Cauldron

Like 99% of the female population I am in love with Lush! Every single time I walk past - 'oo, I'll just have a little look inside' - even though I've already examined absolutely everything! I can't help it, Lush is.. well, lush!

My darling sister, knowing me very well, bought me a few things from Lush for my birthday. You can see my  birthday haul here :) One of the things she bought me was ceridwens cauldron, which I'd never tried before.

Ceridwens cauldron is a luxury bath melt that comes wrapped in its own muslin bag. You just pop it under a hot tap whilst you're running your bath. The hot water melts the cocoa butter, which in turn releases sandalwood, tangerine & rose oil. 

So here comes my truthful review... hmm, I'm really 50/50 about this product. My skin did feel really soft after using this in my bath, but I just didn't think it was anything amazing! I don't have a very good sense of smell, due to crappy allergies. So I couldn't really appreciate the scents that were being released. Maybe this is why it didn't blow me away..? I also think that it's a little expensive for what it is. Unlike some of the Lush bath products, which you can break up & use at different times, the ceridwens cauldron can only be used once. & for £3.99 I think I'd want 2-3 baths out of it. Or is this just me being cheap??

I hate to write a semi-negative review, especially when it's about Lush! But these are just my opinions. Next on my list to try out is the comforter, which I've heard so many good things about!

Lush fresh face mask review: Cupcake

I am a MASSIVE fan of face masks. After a long, hard day or in preparation for an event there is nothing better than relaxing with a face mask on infront of the TV. My all time favourite face masks are the fresh face masks made by Lush.

Lush fresh face masks are made using mainly natural ingredients. Because of this they need to be stored in your fridge after purchase and must be used within approximately 3 weeks. Not only are they fun, but they have many benefits to your skin. They combat many problem areas; such as dryness, breakouts and wrinkles.

Recently my house mates bought me the cupcake fresh face mask. It smells amaaaazing, like a big fat chocolate cake! I really have to stop myself from licking my fingers. My house mates bought it purely because of the smell & didn't actually look at its benefits, but it does have some.... Cupcake claims to soften and nourish the skin with linseed infusion, tone with fresh mint, moisturise with cocoa butter and absorb grease and deep cleanse with rhassoul mud. Added purely for fun are cocoa powder, vanilla absolute and spearmint oil.

So, the aim of the game is to apply this delicious face mask generously all over your face. Leave it to soak into the skin & do it's many jobs for 15-20 minutes, & wash it off!

My skin feels amaaaazing afterwards. It feels cleaner, toned & so so soft! A winner. Me & my friends are going to have a face mask night on Friday, in prep for grad ball :) This will definitely be my choice of mask!
