USA haul!

Heyy guys :D

So, as some of you may already know... I recently went on my jollys! As it was my sisters 18th & my 21st in July, our parents took us to New York & San Francisco over a period of 8 days. I had an aaamazing time! I got back on Thursday & have massive holiday blues, boo :( But hey ho, it has just made me wanna save up my pennies & go see more of the States.

I didn't buy loads & loads. 1, because I couldn't afford to & 2, because we spent most the time looking at the sites & stuffing our faces with the local cuisine ;) But, I thought I'd show you the little bits I did get.

Whilst we were away my boyfriend baby sat the house & my doggies. So I obviously had to buy him plenty of pressies to say thanks. He already has them so I can't show you photos. He's quite the comic book geek, although you wouldn't think it if you saw him, so I bought him a mini statue-thingy of Bane from the recent Batman film (he's obsessssed!). As well as 2 newly released Batman comics, a Batman t-shirt, an Abercrombie & Fitch t-shirt & a collection of yummy sweets from F.A.O schweetz! I think he's a happy bunny.

Anyway, on to the more important stuff ;) Shopping in New York was amazing. Even my Dad enjoyed shopping there! 5th Avenue is a girls dream :) We came across the mahooosive Abercrombie & Fitch shop on 5th avenue. Every time I go to the states I end up buying something from A&F, so I couldn't break the tradition could I?! ;) When we walked into the shop we were greeted by the model himself, who's face is on all the adverts at the mo. A lady took a photo of us & handed me the polaroid. Great addition to my day, haha. So here's what I bought... 2 v-neck tee's & a pair of skinny lounge pants (so comfortable!). Oh, plus the boyf's tee!

Again on 5th avenue, we ventured to the beautiful Victoria's Secrets. Where I bought an underwear set. The photo really doesn't do it justice! It's covered in lace & pretty little rhinestones :)

I'd under estimated how much walking I'd have to do around New York & my sandals were definitely no longer my friends! So I had no choice but to buy new shoes! How unfortunate ;) I bought a pair from Urban Outfitters. They are made from a really soft real leather, much more comfortable! Also in that picture are a pair of PJ shorts. I loved how cool the NYPD gang were out there, & have seen them in loads of movies. So I couldn't resist, hehe.

In the latter half of the holiday we went to San Francisco. I am such a fan of Alcatraz - don't ask why! I love all that history/crime stuff. I use to be a massive swimmer too, so when I saw the Alcatraz swim team tee I had to buy it! I don't think it'll be seen in any OOTD, haha - just for the gym or a PJ maybe.

Moving onto beauty products! I got my first MAC product - yayyyy :D It was from Bloomingdales too, may I add haha. All the lippys I own are of bright colours, so I thought it would be nice to get a nude that I can wear daily. I opted for the cremesheen lipstick in modesty. Definitely won't be my last MAC product :)

Next is the eos balms. I first saw these on one of Essiebuttons videos. I can't remember which, but go check her out, she's great! So, I bought the first one (summer fruits) in New York & after trying it out a few times I had to have another. So I also bought strawberry sorbet in San Fran :) I love them! They're different to any balms we have here in the UK. (Although there is a similar one coming soon to Boots!). They contain shea butter & jojoba oil, & smell soooo good!

I had a browse around Sephora in times square. It's a like a beauty factory!! Why we don't have these in the UK, I will never know! They have soo many brands, it's amazing. I was pretty boring though & just grabbed myself a brown liner. The pigmentation is great, it smudges really nicely & also has a little glitz in it (great for evenings!). It was also cheap as chips :)

Going to San Fran I obviously had to go to a Benefit boutique! (Benefit was founded in good old San Fran). Benefit is my fave ever, so I was happy to use this excuse :) I've wanted to try out their Hello Flawless foundation for a while, so the lovely woman matched up my skin tone & it was mine! I also bought a new boxed blusher - hervana, which comes with a fab slanted brush. I love their fragrances too. They comes in such pretty little boxes & each one has a name & a little poem. I went for Gina, as I wanted to try one that I haven't yet owned. The lovely lovely lady gave me & my sister a free make-up bag too! :)

Whist in Bloomingdales my Mom & I had a facial & make-up done by Clarins. Mine was done by the international make-up artist German Casaroli. Woot woo! He did my make-up beautifully. Unfortunately I did't have the pennies to buy any of the products but my Mom bought quite a lot, so we were given a few free goodies. I was given a bath & shower concentrate, a body treatment oil & a make up bag (not pictured). I quite wait to try out the treatment oil! Also in Bloomingdales, which isn't pictured, I got the new Kenzo perfume & received a complementary Kenzo soap dish & Kenzo soaps. Oh, how I love a freebie!

Last, but not least, are the nail products I bought. My nails are quite thin because I had acrylics for a longgg time, so I'm constantly trying to nurse them back to health! I bought a Sally Hansen miracle nail hardener & a Sally Hansen cuticle balm (which hasn't left my side since!). Also Sally Hansen, I got a nail art pen. It's like a felt tip - so easy to use! I wish I'd bought more of these now. I couldn't resist buying a couple of polishes too. I always seem to buy the same colours/shades, so I went for two that I don't think I have. They were island hopping & sew psyched.

So that's pretty much it! There were a couple more things, but they're pretty boring. I just wish I'd had the dollars to buy more haha, how greedy!?

I hope you like my post :)

I miss you New York & San Francisco!!
